About me

Academically speaking, I studied Finance in the university, holding the degree in Economics, there in the academy I opted to focus more on the study of econometrics, which applies statistical theory to economic topics. While not a technical field, economics did provide me the key starting points that I think really inspired me to choose the path in the Data world.

The first of those keys was Visual Basic, the first programming language I ever tried, which allowed me to automate a bulk of data ingestion processes inside Excel files, reducing those from hours down a couple minutes. Having a taste of the satisfaction of getting the job done faster, was the catalyst that drove me into learning how to program. Then I became obsessed with it and wanted to learn every language I could.

The second key, which provides the foundation of my expertise, was the vast exposure to data analysis. Economics is all about being constantly exposed to data, especially when your my focus is econometrics.

My current technical expertise includes SQL, Python, Airflow, Jupyter Notebooks, pandas, Airbyte and AWS Data stack. I have worked on projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies and am well-versed in ITIL practices.

In addition to my professional work, I am also an avid writer and enjoy sharing my knowledge and experiences with others. I regularly write articles on Medium about various topics related to how to effectively use data technologies to design robust processes around data. My articles cover a range of topics, from technical tutorials to insights on the latest industry trends. Writing allows me to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the field and share my insights with others in the community. It also provides me with a creative outlet to express my thoughts and ideas.
